Speaking opportunities are now open for the 18th annual International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference, cohosted by INTERPOL and UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) and delivered by the International IP Crime Investigators College (IIPCIC).
The Conference will be held from Monday, 29 September to Wednesday, 1 October 2025, in Lyon, France—home to INTERPOL’s General Secretariat headquarters!
The theme for the 2025 Conference is "Working in Partnership to Advance Safety and Security!"
We seek experts and experienced practitioners who can cover IP crime, interrelated illicit trade, and anti-counterfeiting topics focused on providing best practices, actionable insights, case studies, practical advice, and innovative approaches to address safety and security challenges associated with these criminal activities.
The agenda and various sessions will be interactive and designed to enhance capabilities, expand knowledge, increase expertise, and foster readiness to address these challenges effectively.
This year is especially significant since it is our first Conference hosted in Lyon, France. This location provides a unique opportunity for attendees and speakers to connect directly with INTERPOL officials and gain insights into specialized crime units.
Additionally, this year, our law enforcement invitees will be expanded to include a broader first responder community. Through the Conference and this year’s enhancements, we aim to strengthen law enforcement and other first responder capabilities to help create a safer and more secure world.
The annual Conference traditionally attracts 400+ delegates from nearly 100 countries representing 250+ cross-sector agencies and organizations. It is renowned and highly regarded for delivering unsurpassed cross-sector networking and collaboration opportunities for decision-makers and front-line personnel. Participants can engage and challenge each other, offering a unique delegate experience not found elsewhere.
By strengthening the networking environment at and around the event, we intend to foster conversations within and among cross-sector attendees so that they can collaboratively discuss investigations, enforcement activities, initiatives, and ideas to rethink international cooperation and collaborative mechanisms.
Panel sessions are in the main ballroom and feature simultaneous translation. Each session consists of a facilitator and two to three panelists and is 60 minutes long. The sessions must be interactive, fostering engaging and relaxed conversations among the seated participants, and should not utilize PowerPoint slides. The goal is to adopt a challenge-driven innovation approach and provide delegates with creative ideas, actionable insights, best practices, and case studies focused on overcoming challenges, reducing and preventing harm from IP crime, and advancing global safety and security efforts and outcomes.
The 60-minute training sessions, conducted in English and held concurrently with the panel sessions, are led by an experienced practitioner, with support from one to two subject matter experts. These sessions provide in-depth training on the relevant topics, allowing participants to ask questions and engage in practical and operational one-on-one discussions. PowerPoint and other training materials are encouraged if they enhance the session topic, including practical examples, best practices, and case studies. This approach aims to help participants understand the challenges and solutions for advancing global safety and security.
